In 1986, Family House established the Family Assistance (FA) Program to reduce the financial burdens impacting some of our guests.
Our Family Assistance program helps those facing financial hardship by subsidizing room fees for low-income families, especially trauma and transplant patients requiring long stays. In response to growing needs, particularly after the COVID-19 pandemic, we expanded the program to include transportation, toiletries, meals, and other essentials. This ensures families can focus on their loved ones’ recovery, free from financial worry.
- Length of Stay Discount: $10 off per night after 7 days (applied retroactively).
- Income-Based Discount: Additional discounts available for those with qualifying income levels. Details available from your hospital social worker or by calling (412) 647-7777.
